‘Tis the season … almost

Hey everyone!

Thanksgiving has finally come and gone. Now, all we are left with is the last projects and finals for the end of the semester. At least we all got one little break before the end of the semester.

Being a commuter student this year, I’ve managed to stay close to my family while still being able to attend Marywood University. I loved Thanksgiving because it draws all my family back home for the holiday. I really get to spend time with relatives who I haven’t seen in years, and family members who live far away.

And as per Murphy family tradition, we decorated our Christmas tree during the Thanksgiving holiday. Usually we hand select a perfect pine tree each year to spend the month in our living room. And each year, we have to go through the torture of cleaning up thousands of pine needles and making sure some one in the house waters the tree so it doesn’t die before Christmas.

We all decided this year to give in and get a nice artificial tree with lights already built into it. This way, it will make no mess to assemble and we don’t have to string hundreds of little lights across a huge tree. In the featured picture is our finished product. We went with a red, white, and gold colored ornaments.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I can’t wait until Christmas! Not only will I get a much needed break from my studies at Marywood, but I will also be applying for an internship for next year. It’s going to be a great winter break!
