It’s finals week, boys and girls. What does that mean?
Presentations, papers, projects, and exams all wrapped into one five-day school week.
It’s definitely a busy week. Busy may not be dramatic enough, but I’ll take it for now.
Even though there is so much that students have to do in this last week of the fall semester, news isn’t stopping. The Wood Word may not be in print, but it’s still a presence online. We’re still covering events and getting articles out to the public. We recently published articles about Marywood’s new music group, The Woods Men and the annual Fall Dance Showcase.
TV-Marywood is still making news packages for people to enjoy. In fact, last week TVM covered Marywood’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Although it may feel overwhelming at times, keeping up with news even when there are twenty other things to do is preparing us for the future.
The news business is always bustling, always changing. Stories can pop up at unexpected times.
Sure, some things must be planned out, but it’s always best to know how to act in a surprising situation. Hopefully I’ll get the hang of it in the next four years. That’s a lot of time, right?
