What are you involved with on campus?
I am involved with 91.7 VMFM as a DJ, along with being a camera operator for Television Marywood (TVM), and Audio Technician for Beyond The Arch.
Favorite place in the Communication Arts department?
My favorite place to be in the Communication Arts Department has to be the radio station because its a place that I find relaxing during my shift and I am also able to hear new music and bands that I have never heard of until now. Also because after I graduate I hope to be involved with something music related.
What class has benefited you the most so far?
That’s a hard question, but I would have to say Video Production. In that class I am able to learn more about the control room and how each thing works, while learning more about how to edit a video properly as well as learning how to film packages and learn about how the cameras work.
What is your favorite part about being a deejay for the 91.7?
My favorite part of of being a DJ for 91.7 VMFM is just being able to hear new songs and just share music that make people happy and smile, or just influence the mood they want to be in through uplifting music.
Best piece of advice you have received from someone while at Marywood?
The best piece of advice that I have received at Marywood would have to be to just be yourself and work hard and never give up. They are simple statements, but they are always good advice.

Margaret Scott is a senior Advertising/Public Relations major. In her free time, she enjoys being a DJ for 91.7 VMFM and taking part in  Marywood’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter.
